Ok... You're all probably very sick of these calendars... >_>
Well this one's special! When it's done you'll be able to select any day of the year and enter a name and a description for an event.

Right now, this calendar will only place your event on February 1st. Including spaces, the max length for a name is 20 characters and the max length for a description is 120. If you use a bunch of 'wide' letters (all caps, lots of W's), portions of your message will fall outside the visible area and just get cut off.
If there is no event name, it won't output an event at all. If there's a name but no description, it won't do anything when you mouse over it.

The month selector thing in the main screen is just a test, all the months are selectable, but only February 1st can have an event on it so far. Mouse over the blue bar to the left to bring up a menu with all the months, and click that same area to make it disappear again.

All 366 days - You'll be able to set an event on any day of this year.
Customizable Background 'Floaters' - Change those little letters in the background to spell out whatever you want!
That's about it for major development plans.

See, the only thing that I'm not certain I can do is saving user preferences (it sort of defeats the purpose if you have to re-enter everything if you close it.) >_>
I'm thinking the best (probably only) way to do this is with XML, but I'm not really certain how to integrate ActionScript with XML just yet. ... [cough]
Also, is there a (relatively simple) way to make dynamic text boxes align vertically in the middle? Because it's sort of odd when you enter a short description and it ends up way above everything else.
